The Kara Guda VSLA in Kechema Cheree Village, Dodola District, West Arsi Zone, Oromia participates in the MaYEA Program
Phase 1: The group participated in soft skills and hard skills development training. After completing the training, they mobilized ETB 24,000 in special savings and purchased seven sheep (six males and one ewe) for ETB 23,800. They began sheep fattening; however, one ewe died. Two months later, they sold five sheep for ETB 44,800, with a total cost of ETB 30,000.


Phase 2: Using their regular savings, the group constructed a 40-square-meter beehive shade and purchased seven modern beehives.



Phase 3: The group purchased an ox for ETB 43,500 and started ox fattening. After five months, they sold the fattened ox for ETB 131,000.


Phase 4: The groups are ready to take a contract for one hectare of farmland for 100,000 ETB in 2026 last week to further increase their income. The estimated Farmland Expenditure and Revenue (After One Year) is:
- Total Expenses: ETB 150,000
- Total Revenue: ETB 350,000
